    01.06.1943|Transport of 3005 Jews departed from Kamp Westerbork in the Netherlands to the German Nazi extermination camp SS-Sonderkommando #Sobibor. Deportees arrived 3 days later, most were immediately murdered in the gas chambers. One man from among them survived the #Holocaust – Jules Schelvis.

    On 25 May 1944 he was murdered in a gas chamber at #Auschwitz II-Birkenau.
