I remember the good old days when my neighbours and relatives did not promote hate, racism, rape, torture, slavery, degradation, poverty, theft, fraud, lies, oppression, greed, gluttony, murder, lynching, suicide, hunger, homelessness, cruelty & war.

If they embraced such evil they hid it well.

Agreed. On Monday @polphilpod.bsky.social and I explicitly tied Musk USAID cuts to his "belief" that white civilization is embattled and white nations must be saved from invasion to preserve the "West." We argued Musk's "zero died" claim is code to global far right:

20 years ago, almost all of New Mexico's electricity generation came from coal and gas.

In April of this year, that share dropped to 31%. This was the lowest share ever recorded, as wind and solar surged to 69%.

    April 2006: 94%
    April 2016: 78%

While I often agree with she is wrong about the buyout of PNM. Blackstone’s major interest is making money for it’s investors. Owning our public utility will give our unparalleled solar future to disinterested investors who do not care about equity or public good or your rates.
A column in the Albuquerque journal on Sunday, July 26, 2026 where Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham claims that the PRC is enough to stop the greed of Blackstone. Her opinion piece is titled “Private capital, public oversight:
Let's let the
PRC do its job”
