One of my favorite Bayley Beagle (1994-2007) pics of all time. The pookus would be 18 years old now and we still miss him terribly.

Exactly right! Cutting through all the misinformation, the root of many of our problems is crony capitalism on oligarchic steroids. A group of billionaires really is trying to extract maximal wealth and don’t care who gets hurt

    Dan Ancona

It’s all just extractive capitalism. They want to keep burning oil, keep strip mining culture for their LLMs, either keep people from moving or limit their rights if they do, AND keep their taxes low. That piece puts it together, and how we can reject it, very well. Happy fuckin Labor Day.

My book, Deadly Turbulence (see pinned post on my profile), has now been sold by my publisher to AI assholes, been pulped, scanned, and my writing stolen to train LLMs. The payment: $500. That's it. Doesn't even pay for the research and travel that was needed to write it. Fuck AI. Fuck techbros.

I was born and raised in New MEXICO. I am a proud New MEXICAN. My relatives live (and a few are buried) in New MEXICO. If the regime desires, they may deport me to New MEXICO and THEN give it back to MEXICO. It's all cool.

My very own MIRL is from M*A*S*H S.4.E.17 "Der Tag":

    "Mentally exhausted and morally bankrupt."

[It's the toe tag Pierce/Hunnicutt hang on a drunken Burns, but it's me. I can relate.]

He doubled down, while insulting a population of 2,120,246. Claiming we cheated elections and that somehow we are lesser for it.

We aren't a large number of people, but we are pretty fierce. Good Luck, Donny. We fight back.

If you’ve ever worked a 40-hour week, earned overtime or collected Social Security, you should know Frances Perkins.

As FDR’s Labor Secretary, she helped build protections workers still rely on today and was the first woman to serve in a U.S. Cabinet.

    Remember her name. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
