- Chris De Burgh “Lady in Red” (truly horrific)
- Patrick Swayze “She’s Like the Wind” (ditto)
- Don Johnson “Heartbeat” (tritto)
However, Swing Out Sister should not be on the list. “Breakout” is cheesy in retrospect but no other song screams 1987 quite so well as that one.
